1. Summary
The current version of Alcohol Free Tracker does not require an account and does not transmit your tracker profile, check-ins, drinking history, or private notes to the developer.
The app is designed to work locally on your iPhone or iPad. It currently contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics SDKs.
2. Information handled by the app
You may choose to enter information such as:
- Your tracking goal and preferred progress mode.
- Your tracking start date or last drink date and time.
- Daily alcohol-free or drink-level check-ins.
- Drink counts, drink times, and optional private notes.
- Your typical drink cost and drinking frequency, used to estimate savings.
- Your appearance preference and onboarding status.
This information is used only to provide the app’s tracking, calendar, streak, clock, milestone, and estimated-savings features on your device.
3. Local storage and backups
Core tracker information is encoded and stored in the app’s local iOS storage. The developer does not operate a server that receives this information.
Exported backups
If you choose Export in Settings, the app creates a JSON backup containing your profile, check-ins, notes, appearance preference, and export date. You decide where that file is saved or shared through Apple’s system file interface. Files outside the app are governed by the privacy and security practices of the location or service you choose.
Imported backups
If you import a compatible JSON backup, the app reads the file you select and replaces the current local tracker data after asking for confirmation. The file is not uploaded to the developer.
4. Website information
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts, account forms, or tracking pixels. If you contact support by email, your email address and the contents of your message are processed to respond to your request.
The website’s hosting provider may process limited technical information, such as an IP address or request logs, to deliver and secure the site. That processing is controlled by the provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
6. Retention, deletion, and your choices
Tracker information remains on your device until you edit it, remove individual check-ins, reset or delete the app, or erase your device. Deleting the app generally removes its local app container, subject to Apple device backups or other copies you created.
You control exported JSON backups and may delete them from the location where you saved them. To request deletion of a support email or other information you sent directly to the developer, contact us using the address below.
7. Security
The app relies on iOS app sandboxing and device security for local storage. No method of storage is completely secure, so protect your device with a passcode and keep exported backup files only in locations you trust.
8. Children
Alcohol Free Tracker is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
9. International users
The app’s core tracker data stays on your device. If you email support, your message may be processed in the United States or wherever the email providers involved operate.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app’s features or data practices change. The revised policy will be posted here with an updated effective date. App Store privacy disclosures will also be updated when required.
