1. Summary
Pill Reminder does not require an account and does not transmit your medicines, schedules, inventory counts, or dose history to the developer.
The app is designed to work locally on your iPhone or iPad. It contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics SDKs.
2. Information handled by the app
You may choose to enter information such as:
- Medicine names, strengths, forms, default doses, and instructions.
- Reminder schedules, including specific dates, recurring intervals, cycles, and as-needed reminders.
- Pill counts and low-stock thresholds for refill tracking.
- Dose actions and corrections, such as Take, Skip, and manual history edits.
- Your appearance, privacy, and notification preferences.
This information is used only to provide the app's scheduling, notification, inventory, history, and export features on your device.
3. Local storage and backups
Your medication data is stored in the app's local iOS storage. The developer does not operate a server that receives this information.
iCloud snapshot backup
If you turn on iCloud Backup in Settings, the app saves a snapshot of your medication data to your own iCloud account using Apple's iCloud key-value storage. That snapshot is controlled by your Apple ID and Apple's iCloud privacy practices, not by the developer.
Exported files
If you choose Export Medication List or Export Dose History, the app creates a CSV or PDF file. You decide where that file is saved or shared through Apple's system share sheet. Files outside the app are governed by the privacy and security practices of the location or service you choose.
4. Face ID and app lock
If you turn on Require Face ID, biometric authentication is handled entirely by iOS on your device using Apple's Face ID system. The app receives only a yes/no authentication result from iOS; it does not access, store, or transmit biometric data.
5. Purchases
The one-time Plus unlock is processed by Apple through StoreKit. Payment details are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy; the developer receives only confirmation of your purchase and entitlement status, not your payment information.
6. Website information
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts, account forms, or tracking pixels. If you contact support by email, your email address and the contents of your message are processed to respond to your request.
The website's hosting provider may process limited technical information, such as an IP address or request logs, to deliver and secure the site. That processing is controlled by the provider's own terms and privacy policy.
8. Retention, deletion, and your choices
Medication data remains on your device until you edit it, remove individual medicines or reminders, use Delete All Local Data, or delete the app or erase your device. Deleting the app generally removes its local app container, subject to any device backup or exported file you created.
You control your iCloud snapshot and exported files, and may remove them from iCloud or from the location where you saved them. To request deletion of a support email or other information you sent directly to the developer, contact us using the address below.
9. Security
The app relies on iOS app sandboxing and device security for local storage. No method of storage is completely secure, so protect your device with a passcode or biometric lock and keep exported files only in locations you trust.
10. Children
Pill Reminder is intended for adults managing their own or a family member's medications and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
11. International users
Your medication data stays on your device and, if enabled, in your own iCloud account. If you email support, your message may be processed in the United States or wherever the email providers involved operate.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app's features or data practices change. The revised policy will be posted here with an updated effective date. App Store privacy disclosures will also be updated when required.
