Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Alcohol Free Tracker app and website.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using Alcohol Free Tracker, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

If you download the app from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s standard end user license agreement may also apply. If these terms conflict with mandatory App Store terms, the mandatory terms control to the extent of the conflict.

2. Purpose of the app

Alcohol Free Tracker is a self-directed journaling and progress tool. It lets you record alcohol-free days, drink levels, time and notes, and view calculations such as streaks, elapsed time, milestones, and estimated savings.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for deciding how to use the app’s estimates and summaries.

3. Important health and safety disclaimer

Alcohol Free Tracker is not medical care, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, or an emergency service. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Stopping or reducing alcohol can involve serious health risks for some people. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions that could affect your health, especially if you drink heavily, have experienced withdrawal, are pregnant, take medication, or have a medical or mental health condition.

If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency or severe withdrawal symptoms, contact your local emergency services immediately. In the United States, call 911. For crisis support in the United States, call or text 988.

4. Eligibility

The app is intended for adults. You must be legally permitted to use the app where you live. The app does not encourage alcohol use and should not be used to facilitate underage drinking or unsafe behavior.

5. Limited license and acceptable use

Subject to these terms, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own lawful, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

  • Use the app or website for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
  • Attempt to disrupt, bypass, or compromise security or access controls.
  • Copy, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app except as permitted by law.
  • Reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Misrepresent that the app provides medical treatment or professional clinical advice.

6. Your entries and backups

You retain responsibility for the information you enter. The current app stores core tracker data locally. You are responsible for maintaining device access, protecting exported backup files, and deciding where those files are saved or shared.

Importing a backup replaces current local tracker data after confirmation. Review the selected file carefully. The developer is not responsible for loss caused by deleting the app, losing or damaging a device, importing an incorrect file, or failing to keep a backup.

7. Estimates and availability

Streaks, elapsed time, milestones, drink categories, and money-saved figures are informational estimates based on your entries and device calendar. They may not be complete or accurate and must not be relied on for medical, financial, legal, or safety decisions.

Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. The developer does not promise that the app will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating-system version.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and availability.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the app or website.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Your local consumer-protection rights remain unaffected.

10. Responsibility for misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the app, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

11. Changes and termination

These terms may be updated to reflect changes in the app, law, or business practices. Updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date. You may stop using the app at any time. The license may be terminated if you materially violate these terms.

12. General terms

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement regarding the app and website, subject to any mandatory App Store or consumer terms.
