Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Pill Reminder app and website.

Effective and last updated: July 24, 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using Pill Reminder, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

If you download the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard end user license agreement may also apply. If these terms conflict with mandatory App Store terms, the mandatory terms control to the extent of the conflict.

2. Purpose of the app

Pill Reminder is a self-directed scheduling and tracking tool. It lets you record medicines, reminder schedules, pill inventory, and dose actions (Take, Skip), and view calendars, notification status, and exported summaries.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for deciding how to use the app's reminders, inventory warnings, and exports.

3. Important medical disclaimer

Pill Reminder is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, dosage guidance, or drug-interaction guidance, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional or pharmacist.

Always follow the instructions given by your prescriber or pharmacist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication based on this app. Local notifications may be delayed, silenced, or not delivered due to device settings, Focus modes, connectivity, or operating-system behavior beyond the developer's control — do not rely on the app as your only method of tracking a medically critical schedule.

If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, such as a missed dose of a critical medication or a suspected overdose, contact your local emergency services or a poison control center immediately. In the United States, call 911, or contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.

4. Eligibility

The app is intended for adults managing their own medications or acting as a caregiver for someone else's medications. You must be legally permitted to use the app where you live.

5. Limited license and acceptable use

Subject to these terms, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own lawful, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

  • Use the app or website for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
  • Attempt to disrupt, bypass, or compromise security or access controls, including the Face ID lock.
  • Copy, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app except as permitted by law.
  • Reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Misrepresent that the app provides medical treatment, diagnosis, or professional clinical advice.

6. Your entries, backups, and exports

You retain responsibility for the medication information you enter. The app stores this data locally, with an optional snapshot backup to your own iCloud account and optional CSV/PDF exports that you save or share yourself.

You are responsible for maintaining device access, protecting exported files, and keeping backups current. The developer is not responsible for loss caused by deleting the app, losing or damaging a device, disabling iCloud, or failing to keep a backup or export.

7. Reminders, estimates, and availability

Reminder schedules, refill and low-stock warnings, and notification status checks are based on your entries and device settings. They are informational and may not always be complete, timely, or accurate, and must not be relied on for medical, safety, or emergency decisions.

Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. The developer does not promise that the app will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating-system version.

8. Purchases

The Plus unlock is a one-time, non-subscription in-app purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. Refunds, billing disputes, and payment issues are handled by Apple under Apple's own policies, not by the developer directly.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and availability.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, health outcomes, profits, goodwill, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the app or website, including a missed, delayed, or undelivered reminder.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Your local consumer-protection rights remain unaffected.

11. Responsibility for misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the app, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.

12. Changes and termination

These terms may be updated to reflect changes in the app, law, or business practices. Updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date. You may stop using the app at any time. The license may be terminated if you materially violate these terms.

13. General terms

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement regarding the app and website, subject to any mandatory App Store or consumer terms.
